Scott A. Miller, Partner
Scott Miller was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised on Long Island. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the State University of New York at Oneonta in 1984 and his Juris Doctorate degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1987. After working for several years as an associate at several prominent litigation law firms in Manhattan, he established his own firm in downtown Brooklyn.
Scott is a civil trial attorney with more than thirty years of experience admitted to practice in New York State as well as the Federal Courts of both the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He has successfully counseled and represented hundreds of individuals and local businesses located throughout the Hudson Valley and New York City.
Scott has lectured in the past on landlord and tenant law to other attorneys at continuing legal education seminars in New York City. In fact, many other attorneys often call on him to share his opinions and expertise on landlord and tenant law in addition to referring matters to him.
Scott possesses extensive knowledge and expertise in commercial leasing as well as the purchase and sale of small businesses. He has successfully closed on hundreds of commercial and residential real estate transactions, coaching and assisting each of his clients all the way to the “finish line”.
In addition to his vast expertise in real estate transactions, commercial leasing and the purchase and sale of small businesses, he has litigated matters for decades in local, state and Federal Courts, achieving high levels of success on each and every case.
In 2001, Robin Kahn, his wife, joined the firm so that they could expand the areas of their legal practice and serve their clients more effectively. In 2020, Robin and Scott became full time residents of Ulster County and expanded the firm to include the Hudson Valley, opening brand new offices in the Uptown district of Kingston, New York.

Robin J. Kahn, Partner
Robin J. Kahn was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised on Staten Island. She attended Franklin & Marshall College located in Lancaster, Pa. and graduated from New York University, College of Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in both Broadcast Journalism and Spanish. While attending Brooklyn Law School she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and participated in internships at both the United States Attorney's Office, Criminal Division in the Southern District and the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.
Upon graduation from Brooklyn Law School in 1987 she began working as a criminal defense attorney at the Legal Aid Society, Criminal Defense Division in Manhattan. While there, Robin handled hundreds of criminal cases ranging from simple misdemeanors to complex felony murder cases, from arraignment to resolution. Robin has extensive trial experience defending the rights of the accused of all types of criminal offenses.
Twenty-two years ago, Robin merged her practice with her husband, Scott Miller, in order to expand the areas of legal expertise provided by the firm with the goal to better serve their many clients. Her litigation experience currently involves diverse forms of commercial and residential real estate transactions. Because of her extensive experience litigating cases on behalf of both landlords and tenants she is therefore able to anticipate the opposing party’s position when strategizing legal action.
Robin has successfully counseled and represented many individuals and local businesses located throughout the Hudson Valley and New York City.
